These handmade box-pressed Torpedo cigars from Tony Alvarez are aged and have a nice medium bodied taste. The wafer-like cigar fits perfectly in your mouth, is handmade with pure Cuban-seed Habano tobacco and is guaranteed to fully relax you. The wrapper is an exquisite Cuban-seed Habano tobacco leaf that was sun-grown in Ecuador. The binder and pure long filler are finely cured Cuban-seed Habano from Nicaragua. The taste is everything you long for, a light creamy taste with well balanced and complex earthy notes of licorice, cedar, nuts and mild chocolate.
Tony has been making fine cigars for years and these box-pressed beauties prove his talents. He personally supervises each roller in the creation of these torpedos, and some of the cigars are even made by the man himself. Each Torpedo is 6 inches long with a ring gauge of 52. 25 are hand packed in a cellophane bundle. Tony Alvarez is a Cuban Master cigar maker. He grew tobacco and hand rolled perfect cigars in Cuba for Monte Cristo, Romeo y Julieta and Cohiba. He then fled Cuba and while in Miami, Florida rolled for Don Tito, La Gloria Cubana and CAONAO.
Tony eventually went to Esteli, Nicaragua to open his own small factory. His cigars are all totally made by hand and many he makes himself. He only uses the best wrappers, binders and fillers. As in the traditional cuban cigar factory, cigars do not leave the factory until he personally inspects them. They are all top-shelf premium cigars.
